Mindful Based and Contemplative Approaches

A mindful based, or contemplative approach is designed to focus on the individuals present experience in a non-judgmental manner. The intent is to allow the individual to observe and accept the present situation and all that is contained within it, regardless of whether it is good or bad. This shifts focus away from certain states of mind, such as stress or anxiety. 

Being able to develop an acceptance of a particular situation is a coping method, shifting what was once perceived as an overwhelming scenario into one where the individual has a sense of control. This method works well for different types of anxiety and mood swing disorders.
