Child and Adolescent Therapy

As children and adolescents grow, they will experience changes in their moods and behaviors. Some of these changes are fairly expected, although they may be challenging to deal with. They are normal aspects of child development.
When they are behaving and/or experiencing emotions in ways that are not consistent with their age range, or interfere with their happiness and ability to thrive, it could raise concerns for parents and caregivers and they may need to seek professional help.

The process of Child and Adolescent Therapy in our clinic, involves four stages: assessment, intervention, treatment and termination. Within a kid-friendly atmosphere, we use art and play therapy methods as the foundation of our approach. We primarily work on developing therapeutic relationships with child and enhance trust and rapport to address mental and emotional challenges with children and teens.

Depending on the nature of problem and the individual needs, parents and children / teenagers can attend therapy sessions together or separately to address the thoughts, feelings, and emotions experienced by all members within the family.
